Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill used to starve himself when he was growing up.
The 26-year-old musician admits he used to be extremely insecure about his body and looks when he was a teenager and tried a variety of things to stop himself from eating.
Caleb said: "I always thought I wasn't good enough. I'd do anything to keep my hands and mouth busy without eating."
The 'Sex on Fire' singer also revealed he used to do hundreds of press-ups and run in extreme heat to try and lose weight and would drink coffee all day in a bid to suppress his appetite.
However, Caleb says he regained his love of food when he started smoking marijuana and got the "munchies".
The rocker is now planning on hitting the gym and building up his muscles so other men will be scared of him.
Caleb added to Q magazine: "I want to look like I can defend myself, I want a guy to look at me in a bar and know that he can't talk s**t to me or run me over, even though he probably could."
