Dido wants to put her singing career on hold to become a drummer.
The 'White Flag' singer hopes to swap her microphone for drumsticks after playing the percussion instrument on her new album 'Safe Trip Home'.
She said: "Drumming made me listen to music differently - especially when I started playing along with things. I would do this thing of playing along with my iPod.
"I'd actually love to be in a band at some point.
"The thing that would excite me next, to learn more, would be to play for someone else while they're singing. That would be really interesting."
The 36-year-old singer already plays the piano and guitar but claims drumming has inspired her to pen new tracks.
She added to Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "I'll be writing a song on the guitar and maybe get a little stuck so I'll move to the piano. Now it's this really liberating thing that I can go to the drums."
'Safe Trip Home' - Dido's third studio album, which also features drumming from Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood and Tori Amos session drummer Matt Chamberlain - was released this week.
