The 29-year-old singer - who can be seen driving a ride-on lawnmower in her promo for new single 'So What' - loves tending to her vegetable patch and herb garden and refuses any offers of help.
She said: "I have an organic vegetable garden with four raised beds. I grow cucumbers, tomatoes, melons, jalapeno peppers, spinach, kale and chillies. I also grow sunflowers, marigolds and herbs like basil and marjoram. I like to get out there in my wellies.
"I'm full-on. I don't have staff, I do it all myself. I recently read a book called 'How To Be Free' by Tom Hodgkinson. He tells you to get your own garden, if you really want to be independent."
The feisty singer also laughed off criticism that her new hobby was uncool.
She added to Q magazine: "It's very punk rock to be out in a yard growing your own food."
