Crowe isn't 'snubbing' the USA. He comes to work here, has friends and many ties. He just choses to live in his home country and raise his family there.

Back when Crowe first came to work in the US, there was a prejudice against actors who didn't sound American. That has changed, at least partially because actors like Crowe have become successful.

Why are Americans so insecure that they think everyone should - but of course !! - want to live there ?
If you wish to raise your family in your own country - how is this a 'snub' to the United States ?

It's a fact mentioned in several early interviews with Crowe that he was told to adopt an American accent in meetings with the studio suits. Certainly as a Canadian, this would make my blood boil. And I can only imagine the reaction of an American if he was asked to drop his Yankee accent and talk like a Brit in London.

Crowe arrogant ?
No more so than the anonymous caption writer who seems to believe anyone who hasn't a burning desire to come live in the USA is delivering a snub.

Besodes, Crowe is good at what he does.
