Ricky Gervais has only visited the fourth floor of his house twice because he can't be bothered to walk up the stairs.
The British comedian, who lives in London's exclusive Hampstead district with his partner Jane Fallon, never goes to the top floor of his property because it requires too much effort.
He said: "It's 5,500 sq ft, but I don't use a thousandth of it because I can't be bothered to go to the fourth floor! Having a fourth floor is ridiculous. Jane goes up there but I've seen it twice since we moved in! My ideal house is a 5,000 sq ft bungalow."
The 47-year-old star - who can soon be seen in new comedy 'Ghost Town' - also revealed he used to struggle with being famous, but is now happy to accept the way it has changed his life.
He said: "I feel guilty for having money. Being rich is a moral dilemma. But it's better than being poor. It's like when someone first walked me through airport security, I put my head down like I was a pedophile being taken out the back exit of a police station. Now I think, 'Oh great, I don't have to queue up!' "
