Mother, brother of Jennifer Hudson slain in home shooting

Los Angeles - The mother and brother of Oscar-winning actress and singer Jennifer Hudson have been shot to death in Chicago in an apparent domestic dispute, local TV stations reported Friday.
Darnell Hudson Donerson, 57, and her son, Jason Hudson, were found Friday afternoon by a family member in their Chicago home. Hudson's niece was also reported missing.
Chicago police declined to name the victims of the shooting but confirmed that they sustained fatal gunshot wounds, and that a double homicide investigation was underway.
Hudson, 27, a former star of the singing talent show American Idol, won an Oscar in 2007 for her supporting actress role in the movie Dreamgirls.
