A fit red-head has captured the attention of Guy Ritchie, estranged from his wife Madonna, who is moving closer to her love interest, baseball star Alex Rodriguez in New York.
Ritchie, 40, has reportedly taken up with an actress from his latest film. She is 31-year-old Kelly Reilly, described as a blue-eyed titian haired siren.
So goes the very acrimonious divorce proceedings of Madonna and Guy Ritchie, and the leaked spew has reached a new low as Ritchie's camp released tidbits that Guy found Madge "old, fat and wrinkled" and lamented about his sexless union for the last 18 months to Us Weekly.
Now the New York Post reports that Madonna has issued a choose or lose edict to her friends shared with the "Snatch" director husband of hers, and the new rules are that all their shared friends must pick a side. They cannot continue to be friends with both parties.
Caught in the cross hairs of the Madonna decree are the two who introduced the pair in the first place: Sting and his wife Trudie Styler. Sacha Baron Cohen and his wife Isla reportedly must choose as well.
Guy Ritchie pals also snitched to Us Weekly that the couple's relationship was dotted by physical and emotional abuse for years.
"She would taunt Guy, saying, 'I should have married someone like me: strong, hot-blooded, intelligent, ambitious, spiritual,'" a source close to Ritchie said. "Their fights would often get heated. A few times Madonna slapped him or poked him."
Guy apparently gave as good as he got.
"Guy called her old, fat, ugly and wrinkled and said that she was stupid and couldn't sing," Madonna's "pal" leaked to the tabloid.
After a year plus of speculation - Madonna's 7-1/2 year marriage to the British director has disintegrated faster than a snowball in hell.
The core of their pain will be the custody fight for their biological son Rocco - who was snapped in Yankees t-shirt, a photo published in the UK that allegedly upset Guy Ritchie deeply.
"He's actually been crying over it," an Us Weekly source who is on the set of Ritchie's upcoming drama "Sherlock Holmes" said: "He's in a terrible state but is doing his best to be on form at work."
"He said she is the 'lowest of the low' and is even more determined to fight for his side now," the source added. "Madonna has hit the wrong button. ... She better watch out because it seems he has a lot on her."
No settlement has been reached, and observers expect more vitriol and venom to be coming from both camps until the divorce is a done deal.
