AC/DC's deadly tour
Oct 20, 2008, 10:00 GMT
AC/DC believe their world tour sold out so quickly because fans think they might die on stage.
The rock group are due to begin a series of concerts later this month to promote their new album 'Black Ice' and were amazed when tickets to their shows sold out in a matter of hours.
Frontman Brian Johnson, 61, claims some people only paid to see them in case one of them passes away mid-song.
He said "Some fans are saying, 'The singer's 61. I'm going to that show, I might see him die.' "
Brian has even decided to employ an exercise expert to ensure he is in shape for the forthcoming concerts.
He added: "I've got a fitness guy coming in from Formula 1 who is going to work with me for two weeks. He's a specialist in stamina. He is going to work us like a dog."
The band are due to play 42 dates in North America, and will kick off their UK tour next April.

The idea behind the article was from something Brian Johnson said.
Not some crazed blogger. But you make very good points about the Rockers of AGE !
Apologies for joining this discussion late... but I've been too busy listening to 'Black Ice'. These guys *still* rock! I was disappointed with 'The Razor's Edge' and the thought crossed my mind then that Brian had passed his prime.
'Ballbreaker' was a better effort, but I was really impressed with 'Stiff Upper Lip'... then we got nothing but re-releases and DVDs for eight years.
'Black Ice' was *totally* worth the wait, except that it should have been a double album. This is easily their best CD since 'Back In Black', and I was a big fan of 'Fly On the Wall' (whose only failing was the absence of Vanda & Young in production) and 'Blow Up Your Video'.
Anyway, that's all from me; I hope they're swinging back through Canada at some point; their Vancouver concert was sold out before I learned the date of the show. I *totally* want to see these guys; yes, they all still have what it takes, including Brian Johnson.
Yep...BLACK ICE is an awesome album...BUT...Razors edge was equally as good....Ballbreaker ? Eh. Stiff upper lip ? Ah. I love AC/DC and can listen over and over to anything from any period they put out.
Absolutely the greatest stuff is the BON era material. But YES. They still got it and never really lost it. But the sad truth of it is..NO BAND can put out new music and always make a hit. The other sad thing is...This is AC/DC's last album and tour.

This is the funniest AND most stupid article I have ever read.
Look at the long list of ROCKERS who still ROCK....
Mick Jagger and the Stones-the WHO - KISS - Page/Plant - Sir Paul/Ringo
Springsteen-Rod Stewart - Judas Priest - The Winter Bros. The Allmans
Pete friggin Best still plays- I can keep it up but my head hurts from the pompocity of the article.
I'll keep this in mind when I go to see Alice Cooper and Jethro Tull.
maybe or Marshall Tucker. 61 is not old by todays standards 81 maybe
92 but good music is timeless and classic.
Bryan Johnson is probably Healthier than Roger Daltrey and they're the same age. So....enjoy the show and buy more tickets maybe they'll be back in another 8 years!!!!
