Conflicting reports have emerged in the local news of Los Angeles that confirmed actor Nick Nolte had a fire break out at his Malibu home.

TV Celebrity news show Extra obtained a statement from Nick Nolte’s representative regarding the fire at his Malibu home today.
It reads, “There was an electrical fire at Nick Nolte's house today. No one was injured and there was no structural damage to the house. Mr. Nolte is grateful to the Malibu Fire Department and Sherriff's Department for their quick response and assistance.”
The Los Angeles Times reported that the home was gutted.
According to the Times: "Actor Nick Nolte suffered a cut to his hand escaping a fast-moving fire that destroyed his Malibu home, officials said today.
Authorities said the blaze broke out at about 11:30 a.m. and caused about $1.5 million in damage. Nolte was forced to break through a window to escape the flames, according to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department."
The Times went on to say that Nolte's home "was fully engulfed by flames."
