Actor Russell Crowe revealed he put on 63 pounds for his film opening October 10th, “Body of Lies.”
Crowe tells Extra, “It’s a substantial amount!” He gained the weight with help from Sprinkles cupcakes and says, “I’ll have the cheeseburger for breakfast thank you.”
Crowe admits that having kids tamed him saying, “The drinking thing has sort of taken a different place in my life since I had kids. There’s a whole lot of things I don’t do anymore because it affects my level of patience.” He adds, “I don’t want to be in that place where I’m exasperated with these beautiful children.”
Despite rumors, Crowe doesn’t have plans to team with Guy Richie in his new Sherlock Holmes film, but comments, “I’m really interested in working with Guy Ritchie. I think he’s a stylish film maker.”
Asked about rumors he helped pal Snoop Dog land an Australian visa, Crowe admits, “Yeah I did…all my experiences with him, he’s always been a cool guy.”
“Extra” friends via webcam asked Crowe which was his favorite role, he says, “It’s probably Cinderella Man, playing James J. Braddock …I really fell in love with the guy and what he stood for.”
The full interview airs tonight on Extra.
