Christmas misers Kings of Leon
Sep 28, 2008, 4:00 GMT
Kings of Leon tour in December so their Christmas gifts cost less.
The band, who are set to perform at several UK arenas at the end of the year, have confessed there are advantages to playing live in the run up to the festive season.
Drummer Nathan Followill explained: "We always do our Christmas shopping at duty free at the airport every year which is great because we don't have to pay taxes."
However, performing in December does present some risks for the US rockers.
Frontman Caleb Followill explained: "It's funny, I think we've done tours for the last three years around Christmas time and we always cross our fingers that there's no bad weather so we can make it home in time for Christmas."
Kings of Leon's latest studio album 'Only by the Night' was released earlier this month.
