Daniel Radcliffe wants to focus on his theatre career.
The 19-year-old star of the 'Harry Potter' franchise - whose risque show 'Equus' debuted in New York last night (25.09.08) - has enjoyed his time on stage so much he can't wait to tread the boards again.
British producer David Pugh is so keen to reunite with the young thespian he plans to commission three playwrights to give him the choice of his next project, which Daniel wants ready in 18 months time.
Daniel said: "It's got to be something new and I will be there."
The actor - who appears completely naked in his latest production about a young man who develops a sexual fascination with horses - is insisting on being involved with the creative process from the start, according to Pugh.
He added to Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "Daniel wants to be actively involved with the writer or writers and he sees the theatre as a place he wants to perform at on a regular basis.
"He's not going to be a stranger to the stage - he wants to be considered as being of the theatre."
