Amy Winehouse is helping to launch her goddaughter's music career.

The troubled singer begged organisers of London's Berkeley Square Ball - an annual charity event in aid of The Prince's Trust - to let 12-year-old Dionne perform at the event last night (25.09.08) and she was eventually allowed to take to the stage.

A source said: "Amy's really pushing Dionne to be a big star. Amy's manager Ray always supports the Berkeley Square charity bash so she asked organisers if Dionne could perform a couple of numbers.

"She has been encouraging her to sing and wants to give her a big break."

Dionne was reportedly extremely nervous before her debut, but Amy was on hand to dispense advice and help her calm down.

Earlier this year, Amy and Dionne recorded a version of Alicia Keys' track 'If I Ain't Got You' and posted it on video sharing website YouTube.

Meanwhile, Amy's husband Blake Fielder-Civil - who is currently serving a 27-month sentence for grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice - is to be released early from prison.

After turning down two offers of an early release, Blake Fielder-Civil has agreed to terms which will see him living with his mother Georgette in Lincolnshire and abiding by a 7pm curfew.

Amy is delighted at the prospect of being reunited with her spouse, even though he will have to complete a 280-mile journey each day to visit her in her London home.

A source said: "Because Blake will have to lead this disciplined life to keep him in line with his conditions of release they are hoping it will rub off on her too."
