A plane crash in South Carolina has taken the life of former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker's assistant, Chris Baker, and seriously injured Barker and DJ AM, aka Adam Goldstein, who were both listed in critical condition Friday night, CNN reports.

According to the National Transportation Safety Board, four people — two passengers and two crew members — were killed when a Lear jet crashed shortly after takeoff in Columbia, South Carolina.

Travis Barker and Adam Goldstein were reportedly admitted to the Joseph Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia where they are being treated for serious burns.  TMZ.com reports that DJ AM's face has been severely burned and Travis is expected to survive, but was burned from the waist down.

Barker and Goldstein performed at a free concert in Columbia on Friday night. Other performers included ex Jane's Addiction leadman Perry Farrell and Gavin DeGraw. Neither Farrell or DeGraw were reported on board the plane.

TMZ.com reports that Travis Barker's assistant, Chris Baker, 29, who was featured on the reality show "Meet the Barkers" was one of the four fatalities. Chris Baker, Travis' assistant who died in the crash, was a newlywed and his wife recently had a baby.

Sarah Lemmon, co-pilot James Bland and Charles Still also died in the crash.

UPDATE: The National Transportation Safety Board held a press conference.  They said the jet overran the runway, hit a few lights and an antenna, crashed through a fence and careened across the highway next to the airport. The jet crashed into an embankment where it caught on fire.
