Russell Brand has reportedly split from his girlfriend.

The 33-year-old British comedian had been dating actress Teresa Palmer, 22, since June but was seen flirting with a journalist at Los Angeles' Four Seasons Hotel - where he was promoting his new film 'Bedtime Stories' - yesterday (11.09.08), telling her he was "footloose and fancy free".

A source said: "He gave him number to one pretty journalist with, 'Why Not?' written underneath. He told them all he felt footloose and fancy free."

The comedian is famed for colourful love life, and was recently seen flirting with actress Eva Longoria on US chat show 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno', offering to spice up her sex life if she ever gets bored of her husband Tony Parker.

Later, as Eva fed Russell chocolates which she had plucked from her chest, he cheekily said: "This one's melted a little bit from your cleavage. Could I have the bit that's still in there?"

Russell also flirted with married singer Christina Aguilera while promoting the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, which he presented.

The womanising star recently had to shoot kissing scenes with Pink for new film 'Get Him to the Greek', and admitted he enjoyed every minute.

He said: "I've got a soft spot for Pink and I had to kiss her. We have this scene where we are walking down the road snogging and then I have to be sick. Pink is a lovely woman - a forceful, sexy woman.

"When I was kissing Pink I was thinking, this isn't work. Those kisses were unprofessional."
