NKOTB: No new fans

New Kids on the Block are not looking for new fans.The recently reformed group claim they reunited to perform for their old followers, rather to find a new audience.Singer Donnie Wahlberg said: "We wanted to invite our fans back to the table and if anyone wants to join us they can. But we're not here to have a party with people who don't like us."It wouldn't make sense for me to walk past you to get to two people who were never into us."The group also deny that they decided to reunite after seeing how successful British 90s boy band Take That have been since getting back together.Donnie's bandmate Jordan Knight said: "I handed the flame over to them back in the 90s at the Smash Hits awards when I presented them with the best band statue or something. "We're in cahoots with them. We'll call them up and say, 'You're touring this year? OK, we'll do the next one.' "

You have completely misconstrued Donnie's words. Yeah, this reunion was for the diehard fans who never gave up on them, but they have NEVER said that they don't want new fans. If that were the case, they possibly would have only re-released the Greatest Hits and never recorded a new CD.

The New Kids love all their fans, old and new. Yeah, they're not going to try to please everyone. It's not their style, but they're not going to tell people that they are exclusive!

I agree. You are taking Donnie's words out of context and twisting it. The New Kids on the Block LOVE their fans!! You should hear the stories that fans tell! They're amazing and treat us like old friends. Please don't start subjective rumors about them. They love any fans they can get but of course they would start their tour off with the old fans. This reunion is one big party! Who else would they invite first if not their old fans?
