Anne Hathaway says her super-fit stunt double in 'Get Smart' inspired her to get in shape.

The actress - who has a size six figure - realized she needed to improve her fitness after watching her double stand in for her as Agent 99 in the comedy action movie.

Anne, 25, said: "She was so ridiculously fit, it inspired me to get into shape. And when you have to lift yourself from the side of a moving vehicle using only your stomach muscles, it makes you work on your abs."

Anne - who stars alongside Steve Carell and former WWE wrestler Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in the film - admits she told dirty jokes on set in a bid to get along with the almost entirely all-male cast.

She added: "Some days I felt like they were trying to be very polite around me, until I would tell the dirtiest joke I could think of just to put everybody at ease."

The spy spoof is the first film of this type Anne has appeared in, but she is returning to familiar territory with her next project 'Bride Wars' - which is about two brides who fall out over their wedding plans.

Anne said: "It was funny to go to from this very male universe to oestrogen land on 'Bride Wars'. Some days I feel sorry for the director because he is literally the only man for miles."
