Morrissey's Warner Bros. war of words
Aug 23, 2008, 8:00 GMT

Morrissey has urged fans not to buy his upcoming DVD.
The 'You Have Killed Me' singer claims distributor Warner Entertainment has not consulted him on the release of 'Morrissey Live At The Hollywood Bowl' and is rush-releasing the title.
The former Smiths frontman - who has parted ways with manager Merck Mercuriadis - wrote on website True To You: "This slapdash release is being done by Warner without any consultation to me whatsoever.
"It is in breach of their terms as laid out by them in an agreement made with my ex-manager. Being Warner, the sleeve art is predictably appalling. It is the work of cash-hounds, and I urge people not to buy it."
Morrissey also claims he will not receive any money from sales of the DVD.
He added: "I am not signed to Warner, and no royalties from this DVD will come to me. Please spend your money elsewhere."
