Lucky her...........NOT!
It's unlikely these two people will go through with the wedding. Howard realizes that he never meant it to go on this long and certainly wasn't looking forward to yet another life of domesticity and heaven forefend, fatherhood. He lost half his fortune to get rid of the first entanglement.
He's going to have to pay Beth a hefty sum when they break up after marriage but not so much if it is just palimony rather than alimony. Howard's boxed himself in. He wanted the comfort of sex at home and the years do tend to fly by and now there are eight of them he will have to compensate Beth for.
She'll make out like a bandit if/when they break up. Despite her goll-ee, gosh, I'm just a little hick, she's already assessing that her engagement ring was a disappointment enough that 'shel'll bring it out only for special occasions' and that her wedding ring surpasses it. She's catching on quickly in upgrading her expectations.
Imagine, all this over Engagement Chicken. Not bad if you can get it! Old Mr. Howard Stern fell for it! Bwahahaha
Howard has pretty well so far followed the path of many elderly dads and will likely be seen pushing a stroller with the rest of the codgers.
He could have picked a better-looking gal though. She's approaching forty and is not a great beauty up close. From a distance, she looks attractive but Howard will be looking for something to better his image with very soon. This is not a deep man but neither is Beth a deep thinker but she does know what the color of green is remindful of.
Does anyone beside myself think this is not a serious attempt at marriage?
