Bob Geldof has called a truce with his daughter Peaches and given his blessing to her marriage.
Bob - who was originally said to be "incandescent with rage" when he first heard of his daughter's shock Las Vegas wedding to rock musician Max Drummey - has been convinced by Peaches, 19, to give her the chance to make the union work.
A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Peaches was finally able to calm him down after a few days in the sun, and get him talking to her again. She has been telling him this is the real deal and not some stupid mistake.
"After a showdown meal with the family on the Spanish island of Majorca on Tuesday (19.08.08), Bob realised she wants to make the marriage work and he's given her his support."
Peaches is now due to fly back to the UK to join 23-year-old Drummey, who is presently on tour with his band Chester French in Britain.
The couple are expected to take a short honeymoon break before Drummey has to return to the US next Wednesday (27.08.08).
Peaches and Drummey first met two years ago, but their romance only started when they met again in June at the iTunes festival in London.
