05/20/2008 - Angelina Jolie - 2008 Cannes Film Festival - "Changeling" Photocall - Palais des Festivals - Cannes, France © Pixplanete / PR PhotosPaul Starr - who has worked for Hollywood stars including Jolie, Mariah Carey, Jessica Alba, Renee Zellweger and Jennifer Garner - was discovered in his Los Angeles apartment after friends became worried after not hearing from him for several days.The cosmetician - who was reported to be 48-years-old - had worked in the industry for the past two decades and authored a book in 2005 entitled 'Paul Starr on Beauty: Conversations with Thirty Celebrated Women'.In the tome, Starr's former clients spoke about their relationship with the make-up artist.Jolie said: "During the time we have spent in the make-up chair, we talked about everything but the photo shoot - global issues, babies, human rights."'Alias' star Jennifer Garner added: "Paul Starr has this uncanny ability to look at a face and see what it needs. He's done my face a thousand times and never repeated a look. I have never felt more like the best version of myself than when Paul has made me up."Starr's cause of death is as yet unknown.
