Guess who will be the VP pick for Barack Obama. Show us your political horse sense and guessing prowess and talkback below with your estimation on who Obama will choose to run for office with him.
The blogosphere chatter has heated up that popular Senator Joe Biden will be the likely candidate.
Illinois Sen. Barack Obama may be making his vice presidential announcement on Saturday back in Illinois.
So who are the likely suspects?

Obama's cards are closely held to his chest. Aides tip the media that a half-dozen advisers were involved in the final discussions in efforts to enforce a command that Obama issued to staff members - complete embargo on the news, and that his decision not leak out until supporters are notified.
It will be a surprise for whoever gets the gig. Obama had not notified his choice of his decision as of late Monday, advisers said to the news services.
Obama was said to be focused mainly on three candidates: Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana, Governor Tim Kaine of Virginia and Senator Joseph Biden Jr. of Delaware.
Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts was even tipped by WBZ as a potential VP.
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York, or Governor Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas are considered longshots, at best.
Who is it going to be?

get back to us on that.
last I heard...
Richardson or Powell are my choices. B needs some serious foreign/military back up. I'm way blue in a red state with only an inkling of a chance to swing left but I think either R or P will play well in VA, IN, FL, OH, and all of the west. NC Liberal opting to add a Republican or Latino into the mix.
..I cannot wait for the question about how he got up in from tof the UN and told them about Iraq's WMD's....
how about you sp4
think about it ..
I want it to be Senator Kerry. He endorsed Obama early and has campained and defended him ever since. I like and remember Senator Kerry as the intellegent right choice in 2004- to hell with the supposed baggage created by the right wing machine. Senator Kerry is a progressive, passionate patriot. He suits Senator Obama well and many of Obama's ideas mirror what Senator Kerry begain in 2004. Obama couldn't do better than to have Kerry by his side.
As for Biden, why he didn't even take a risk and endorse Obama. He does have Foreign relation creditials, but so does Kerry and when it come to loyality- Biden can't help himself- he is a self promoter - sometimes at other expense. He also represents old time politics and Washington both. He is your typical and average politician- nice enough, but not a leader.
ask Oprah. Don't forget, this isn't an election about qualifications, it's a popularity contest and dear ol' Oprah is popular and rich.
Tim K.
..Oprah should be the frontrunner.
It is Al Gore - you heard it here first
I think if McCain picks Mitt Romney the only way Obama will win the election is with Hillary Clinton on the ticket. It would be great if either canidate reached outside the political realm and picked an economist for VP. Our biggest threat to the US is not terrorism, it is the ecomomy. The terrorists know they can not beat us on the field. They are doing everything they can to hurt us in our pockets. How can we keep spending billions overseas when there are some many families living in poverty. The middle class is taxed to the point that there is no more money. Our pockets are not bottomless pits. Paul Zane Plizer for Vice President.
