Paris Hilton sued for lazy efforts in film promotion

Paris Hilton's work ethic is the center of a new lawsuit.

The producers of National Lampoon's Pledge This contends the socialite did not do her contractually required stint in promoting the poorly reviewed and received film, which barely scraped the $2 million mark worldwide for gross ticket dales.

Paris Hilton is being sued by Worldwide Entertainment Group Inc. - who filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Miami, alleging the 27-year-old model-actress-heiress owes $75,000 in damages for not fulfilling her promotional obligations.

TMZ.com reports that Hilton entered into an agreement in 2004 for the production and distribution of the movie "National Lampoon's Pledge This!," according to the lawsuit. Hilton starred in the film and received credit as an executive producer.

The producers paid Hilton and her company, Paris Hilton Entertainment Inc., $1 million for "Hilton's acting services" and for "reasonable promotion and publicity" for the movie, which was released in 2006 and featured Hilton as the president of an exclusive sorority.

Convicted for DUI, ex jailbird, shoe entrepreneur and girlfriend to Benji Madden, Hilton has appeared in other execrable films, "Bottoms Up,""The Hottie & the Nottie" and "House of Wax," and starred in her own porno film, "One Night in Paris" where she is videotaped having sex with Rick Salomon in a hotel room.

She's slated to next appear in the movie musical "Repo! The Genetic Opera" and the MTV reality series, "Paris Hilton's My New BFF."
