I hope this isn't true. If so, is there anyone out there with a conscience or morals anymore? And the big question is why does anyone in the public eye ever think they can get by with something like this? And another thing - haven't these people ever heard of birth control?

Now I'm not exactly a fan of Edwards, but the national enquirer doesn't strike me as the most credible source--furthermore, in a column where they claimed to have knowledge of the liason ahead of time and had photographers and cameramen (according to their own words) at the event they didn't put a single picture or video to corroborate their account?
Excuse me while I side with Edwards at least until there is some more proof.
So the Enquirer claims they witnessed him enter the hotel, witnessed him leave the hotel, they even claim they chased him around the hotel. Yet they don't print a SINGLE PHOTO of him in this hotel?
They say they had a big group of reporters there, did none of them have a camera?
Where are the photos?
Americans are so concerned with other people's sex lives. You know what? It's none of our business. It has nothing to do with morals or decency, it's none of our business! Who cares if people in the public eye cheat on their wives? We're letting an entire corrupt administration go without any sort of prosecution, and we're focusing on whether or not someone cheats on their wife? People are starving, being tortured and dying from lack of basic medical care. It's ridiculous. Come on people, there are REAL problems in the world.
Alan Butterfield is the Enquirer reporter claiming to have witnessed Edwards in the hotel for a rendezvous with his alleged mistress.
'For those unfamiliar, Butterfield is a reporter for the National Enquirer-yes, the supermarket tabloid-and is the one who 'broke' the gay sex-ring story about Ed Smart and several of his brothers. The story was based on information obtained from unnamed sources. Later it became known that some unnamed sources were paid $10,000 each. In the end, the information proved to be false and two reporters, Kevin Cantera and Michael Vigh of The Salt Lake Tribune, were fired due to their involvement in the fiasco.'

John Edwards for Vice-Pres!! John Edwards and Rielle Hunter just had a new baby!!! Don’t feel sorry for Mrs. Edwards. The National Enquirer broke this story way back in October 2007, but the MSM still refuses to report it. She is a classic codependent wife who has enabled her cheating husband, Senator John Edwards, to have multiple affairs, as everyone in South Carolina knows. It’s much more important to see John Edwards as he LIES to the world about his affair. Lucky for the Democrats that he didn’t get the nomination!!

Edwards is an honest and hardworking man who has fought for people his entire life. I think we all know who is behind this crap...starts with Neo and end with Cons. It's not hard to imagine they would have the enquirer break this story around the time Obama may announce his VP. And who might that be?
The Enquirer has been known to be wrong before. I cannot imagine Mr. Edwards having a mistress while campaigning for President of the USA. Just because the Enquirer says it is so, it does NOT mean it is so. It is amazing how people absolutely go crazy with this kind of thing, or anything negative about people in this campaign!! They jump on the propaganda bandwagon and proclaim, yea, it must be true!! If the newspaper say it, then it is true. If McCain says it, then it is the truth; it has to be as his plane and bus proclaim: 'The Straight Talk Express'! It does not matter that all of it a bunch of crapola!! Come on folks, people say hateful and harmful things and start rumors to get attention!! Until something solid comes out, don't believe this garbage!
