Divorce woes: John Cleese is getting fleeced

After 15 years of marriage, John Cleese still thinks of the home he shared with his third wife as 'his.' If he truly thinks this way, then I'm sure his selfishness and large ego must have contributed to the deterioration of this marriage.

Alyce Faye may have better sense than her soon-to-be ex and restrain herself from responding to these public attacks from him and his friend, columnist Michael Winner, but I'm sure there are plenty of stories she could tell that would reflect negatively on John Cleese if she chose to air her dirty laundry in public.

I've lost a lot of respect for John Cleese in the last week because of his negative, insulting comments about his wife in the media. He ought to grow up and be a man, publicly apologize, and act with some dignity while getting on with his business.

For those of us that work hard to pay for the upkeep of one home, it's difficult to feel sorry for someone who is about to have to divide up his millions of dollars in assets, including the couple's seven homes. Get a grip, Mr. Cleese. You're still a rich bastard.
