The scandal that is rocking Manhattan is the building he said-she said that has summarily ended star Yankee Alex Rodriguez's marriage to his wife and mother of his two daughters.
The Madonna-Alex Rodriguez story has Fox reporter Roger Friedman claiming that a possible "love shack" hidden from his wife and the public was the meeting place for a possible alleged tryst with Kabbalah promoting pop star, Madonna.
A-Rod was seen "coming and going" from Madonna’s apartment building on Central Park West and 64th St.
Friedman speculates that the idea of A-Rod and Madonna together in her apartment did not "make sense," so he dug around.
Fox's Friedman, who has been denying that there was anything amiss going on between the Baseballer and the Diva, now reports that Rodriguez has another apartment, separate from the one he and his wife share on Fifth Avenue in a Trump building.
"I’m not even sure Cynthia Rodriguez knows about this: according to my sources," claims Friedman.
Rodriguez has a flat at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Columbus Circle. "That would put him exactly six short blocks from Madonna (four up and two over)," muses Friedman.
A doorman at the Time Warner Center told Friedman thought maybe Rodriguez was gone now, and that Madonna had been a frequent visitor to the apartment building. “I think she has someone up there,” he said to Friedman. “Like a manager.”
However, Guy Oseary, who’s also been managing Rodriguez since December 2007, lives in Los Angeles.
Friedman speculates the center of this tawdry affair is the cult-like following of the mystical teachings of Judaism's Kabbalah, traditionally thought by observant Jews to be off-limits to goyim (non jews), and reserved for rabbis of a certain age.
Friedman writes that Madonna and her guru, Philip Berg, the sect’s founder, are more interested in Rodriguez for his money.
He notes that wealthy Madonna has been the Kabbalah Center of Los Angeles’s top benefactor for a long time. "She may be tapped out at this point, what with declining CD sales and slow-moving concert tickets at some venues," writes Friedman.
