Heath Ledger's star tribute

Heath Ledger's Dark Knight co-stars continue to pay tribute to him.
Out promoting the highly-anticipated thriller, The Dark Knight, the film’s stars talked to TV show Extra the the untimely death of Heath Ledger.
Honoring the actor, who died last January of an accidental drug combination overdose at the age of 28, star Christian Bale declares, “He’s pure joy at what he did and what damn good company he was!”
He continues, “I want people to see his performance and I want people to celebrate his talent.”
Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal adds, “This is the first day we’re all together and he’s not here!”
As for the rumors that Ledger never came out of character during filming, Gyllenhaal clarified the rumor, “That’s not what was happening. But what was happening was something very special and unusual.”
Aaron Eckhart says, “He could divorce himself from his character, then he was right back in.”
