Pete Wentz loves playing practical jokes on his new wife Ashlee Simpson.
The Fall Out Boy rocker - who married pregnant Ashlee in a secret ceremony last month - reduced Ashlee to tears after he sprayed her new dress with invisible ink.
A source said: "He freaked Ashlee out by squirting the ink all over her new clothes. He squirted a dress that Ashlee had just bought, and she got so upset she started to cry. Then Pete rushed in and explained it wasn't real!"
Pete and Ashlee are now expecting their first child together, and the 29-year-old musician recently hinted they could be welcoming twins.
He accidentally let the news slip during an interview on a US radio show when he referred to his unborn baby as "them".
Pete said: "We've been keeping a book so far, like a journal for them - for them when they're, uh, born."
The 29-year-old musician then started laughing nervously before wrapping up the interview.
