James McAvoy's gun trouble

James McAvoy is terrible with guns.
The actor says he dislikes handling firearms, despite them featuring heavily in his latest movie, 'Wanted', in which he plays an assassin.
He said: "In 'Band of Brothers', I shot my rifle three times and hit nobody and then I was exploded by a random grenade, so that was my time over in Steven Spielberg's realization of World War II.
"I don't really like guns - I'm a bit bad with them. At one point the gun had jammed and I put it down and my finger slipped and it went off. I was like, 'Ooh.' "
Despite his problems, James did enjoy some of the scenes - though he wished he could have handled one particular weapon.
He added to Arena magazine: "There were lots of guns, machine guns, shotguns, handguns, throwing guns - all that kind of stuff. The best bit was catching a gun in mid-air, upside down and firing with my little finger.
"There wasn't a bazooka though. I wished there had been a bazooka!"
