I have suspicions about the motives of her family in waiting so long to say anything. While his version is surely told from the perspective that makes Shatner look the best you need to question the motives of her family in going to the National Inquirer that pays for stories rather than legitimate news media.
If they see him as exploiting her death to sell books perhaps they want to exploit it also to line their pockets.
i like how people think they know how other people should and will react to a traumatic event.
not only that they go on claim that shatner didnt do enough to save his wife(and william kidds sister) life well where was the brother when his sister was struggling with alcholism. not helping her try to beat it thats for sure, where as william shatner did try for a long time to get her the help she needed.
hey william kidd how is Who#@ing your dead sister to the national enquirer any better.
so how much money did you get paid by the Enquirer Mr William Kidd.

At the time this situation seemed a little strange, like something just wasn't right.
