Lindsay Lohan credits alleged girlfriend Samantha Ronson with calming her down.

The 'Mean Girls' actress - who spent a two-month stint in rehab last year for drink and drug addiction - enjoys a close relationship with the DJ and says she never feels like partying when she is with Samantha.

Lindsay, who refuses to comment on speculation Samantha is her lover, said: "She's an amazing friend. I can have a great time just having a quiet meal with her. I feel like I don't need anything else."

Lindsay and Samantha - who embraced each other when the DJ visited the actress on the set of her new movie 'Labor Pains' - spent an evening with British singer Lily Allen on Monday night (09.06.08).

The 'Smile' singer is in the US to finish work on her second album and the trio dined together at Los Angeles restaurant Il Sole.

Lily - who knows Samantha after working with her producer brother Mark Ronson - said: "I came back to the hotel about seven and went straight to dinner with my number one fan. We went to this place called Il Sole, the food was amazing. I love truffles big time and they didn't disappoint.

"Samantha brought along a rather famous friend - and about 50 million paparazzi."
