The film "It's a Wonderful Life" featured child actor Bob Anderson, who portrayed a young George Bailey in the classic 1946 Frank Capra film about a small-town boy who never got to leave, and learned to love his familiar through a fateful angelic life lesson.
The film's message was that no man was a failure if he had friends.
Robert "Bob" Anderson has died at the age of 75.

Through a series of mishaps and carelessness, James Stewart as the adult George Bailey considers suicide until Clarence the angel is dispatched by God, to reveal how powerful his impact was on everyone around him, that his life has deep positive meaning.
Anderson's own powerful scene was when as young Bailey, discovers his boss the pharmacist has been sideswiped by terrible news of his son's death in the war, and mistakenly puts poion in medicine meant for a customer.
The scene had pharmacist Mr. Gower, played by H.B. Warner, slap Bob Anderson. He told the Los Angeles Times in a 1996 interview that the scene and its rehearsals were painful.
"He actually bloodied my ear," Anderson told the paper. "My ear was beat up and my face was red and I was in tears.
"At the end when it was all over, he (Warner) was very loveable. He grabbed me and hugged me, and he meant it," Anderson said.
The Times notes that Anderson also served his country during the Korean war.
