Rupert Everett does not like Americans it seems

Rupert Everett does not care for Americans it seems.
Despite the fact there are 300+ million of us from every walk of life and country of origin, Everett felt compelled to generalize and open his yap to the UK Radio Times.
In an interview, the D-Listed actor says Americans are "whiny victims" whose nation has become "unattractive."
He said:
I'm totally off the States now," he told the magazine.
"The reaction to 9/11 and then George Bush - really, they've got very blobby as a nation. "Now they (the Americans) are whiny victims whose language is entirely taken from two TV shows - Friends and Sex And The City - and there's nothing sexy about them any more. And that kind of semi-blindness about the rest of the world, which was attractive when America was exciting, is really unattractive now."
You know, Rupert, you could have put that sentiment on a sticky note, like Berger did to SJP. We could have read between the lines.
Now, we know many of you don't actually know who Rupert Everett is, (he's like Sienna Miller that way) but perhaps an out of work actor should be mindful of the other large English speaking country that ,say, may actually pony up some dough to see his complaining rear end in some hyper-chatty pointless British ensemble comedy involving, say, a wedding or a funeral?

Rupert has got to be, at the very least, ''Swishy''. Never heard of this bigot.....................makes me happy.
Yes, Rupert Everett seems to be slightly up himself about various things, but it's true, in this case, that America's reputation as the world's leading nation is heading south.
Should we say America brought 9/11 upon itself? No. Should we say America deserved to be attacked on September 11, 2001? No. Should we say America's President George W Bush and his administration reacted poorly/wrongfully/recklessly/immorally by waging war on Iraq? Yes.
No weapons of mass destruction were ever found because they never existed. Many people died needlessly. No wonder Rupert Everett is 'off America and Anericans'.
By the way....in response to SP4;God not again's comment - I guess he already did because they dated briefly and they didn't break up because of Rupert's homosexuality either.
Everett was once a Rent Boy male homosexual. Does this make him a bad person ?
I certainly won't say that he is unsuccessful- he has done a few films that I liked. It is surprising to hear him talk about America like that, though. Admittedly, we aren't well liked for a lot of reasons, but criticizing the US for the way our culture has changed since 9/11 hardly seems fair. Many celebrities abuse their access to mass media too often.
