"Jackass" star Steve-O has battled drink and drug issues for a long time. He also plead guilty to felony cocaine possession on Tuesday in a Los Angeles courthouse.
UsMagazine.com reports that the "Wild Boyz" star was ordered to attend rehab for two years.
This move is designed to keep Steve out of jail.
"Steve is doing great - he has been sober for 85 days," his lawyer, Barry Gerald Sands, tells Usmagazine.com.
"His probation is set for 18 months, but it may be shorter depending on his good behavior and continuation with the program he is in."
According to Sands, Steve-O is shaping up, getting healthy and ready to go back to work.
Steve-O had a long-running beef with a neighbor of his over a fence. He made tapes on YouTube that revealed his binging behavior and rants over the situation. The problem came to a head when the police showed up after the same neighbor called to complain about noise.
When the police came to the scene, it was discovered that narcotics were in Steve-O's apartment. He initially pleaded not guilty.
Steve-O was checked into a UCLA center for psychiatric treatment.
Actor and friend Johnny Knoxville was credited with an intervention. Knoxville "came to my home" and physically "forced me into the hospital," wrote Steve-O on his blog.
