Liv Tyler says giving birth was good preparation for her role in 'The Incredible Hulk'.
The 'Lord of the Rings' actress stars as Betty Ross alongside Edward Norton in the upcoming action movie and said having son Milo, now three-years-old, made her realise she was strong enough to tackle the gruelling physical stunts in the movie.
She said: "It was probably the hardest physical work I've ever done in my life. I was involved in every minute of it.
"I've got a child and I'm a tough cookie and I know I can do this. If I can give birth then I know I can go flying out of a helicopter on a harness."
Liv also said Betty is more believable as an action heroine because she gets fully involved in the active scenes.
She added: "I hate it when I go to see action movies and the girl looks fabulous the whole time with perfect lipstick, hair and make-up. You should look tired!
"I had no make-up on and I was drenched in sweat and rain. I really enjoyed it."
Liv split from husband Royston Langdon earlier this month.
'The Incredible Hulk' is due for release in cinemas later this year.
