Patrick Swayze renews vows

Patrick Swayze and Lisa Niemi have renewed their wedding vows, it has been claimed.

The 'Dirty Dancing' star - who is currently battling pancreatic cancer - reportedly exchanged vows with Lisa, his wife of nearly 33 years, in front of close friends and family at their ranch in New Mexico.

A source close to the 55-year-old actor told The Globe newspaper: "Patrick is refusing to give up, and has decided right now to just live for today. It was very important to Patrick to express his love and commitment to Lisa. They both mean the world to one another."

Meanwhile, Patrick is said to have been told by doctors he will only have two weeks to live if the cancer spreads.

Friends of the Hollywood star claim he is in denial about the seriousness of his condition.

One said: "Doctors have told him if the cancer spreads to his brain then he only has two weeks to live."

It was recently reported Patrick has been taking experimental drug Vatalanib, in a bid to beat the potentially fatal disease.

Dr. M. Wasif Saif, the Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of Yale University's Gastrointestinal Program, said: "The drug that Patrick Swayze is taking, Vatalanib, is still in the experimental stage. But recent studies have shown promise for patients taking the drug who are in excellent physical shape."
