The attorney for Kevin Federline, Mark Vincent Kaplan, is grateful for the paparazzi coverage of his client's soon to be ex wife.
The paps are doing the work of pricey private investigators for free.
Currently Britney is a guest of Malibu neighbor Mel Gibson in Costa Rica where Gibson bought a compound.
She has been snapped in a revealing bikini that spurred talk of a possible pregnancy, which was denied.
Newsweek reports that the lawyer has been quite pleased with the relentless Internet, magazine and paparazzi coverage that reveals Britney's every gaffe, goof and flaw.
"If I had to hire an investigator or investigators to provide me with the intelligence about what's going on, where they are, how are they doing," said Mark Vincent Kaplan to Newsweek, "it would be north of half a million to a million dollars ... as opposed to buying People magazine for $3.95 on Thursday morning or going on TMZ."
