Joe Simpson - Las Vegas, NV, USA © PRN / PR PhotosThe Chicago Sun-Times got a quote from a "best buddy" of Romo's (from their shared Eastern Illinois college days).The snitch tells the Sun-Times the gig is up for Romo, who is "over" the intense media scrutiny AND her overbearing father, Joe Simpson.Camp Simpson still says the two are a lovematch, but they are masking the truth.The snitch confirms to the un-Times that Romo "likely will keep his promise to escort Jessica to sister Ashlee Simpson's marriage this weekend to Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz."Then all bets are off, as the QB is said to be ready to punt the actress who is still upset over her failed relationship with John Mayer, now happy with Jennifer Aniston, and ex husband Nick Lachey, now happy with Vanessa Minillo.Romo, according to the Sun-Times source, ''really had it'' with being a constant target of the paparazzi and the celebrity press in general.But it was the "intrusive style" of father Joe Simpson, who's offered unsolicited advice to Tony on his career, endorsement opportunities and things that have nothing to do with him dating Jessica.''The Sun-Times cites the fact that Romo "was very upset by Simpson's interview in Glamour magazine where she referred to Romo as her ''future husband'' and other on-the-record interviews she has given, saying she wants Romo to be the father to her children."
