London - Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse was Wednesday arrested over the possession of drugs following the passing of video footage to the police, Scotland Yard said.
'She remains in custody. This is in connection with an investigation connected to footage passed to the Metropolitan Police on January 22,' a Scotland Yard spokesman said.
The 24-year-old singer had attended the police station in east London 'by appointment,' her spokesman said.
On January 22, Britain's Sun newspaper published pictures apparently showing the singer, who had just come out of drug rehabilitation, smoking crack cocaine.
The footage appeared to show her inhaling fumes from a crack pipe after a drugs binge. The star was also shown apparently snorting ecstasy and cocaine and admitting taking Valium tablets.
On April 25, Winehouse was arrested on suspicion of assault following reports that she punched and head-butted two men during a night, but later released on bail.
