The 29-year-old actor - who writes and stars in the hit BBC comedy series along with writing partner Ruth Jones - believes the show wouldn't translate well onto the big screen.
He said: "I think some things should stay in their own format. I really don't see 'Gavin and Stacey' as a movie. It works as a TV show and that's how it should stay."
Corden is also reluctant to commit to writing a third series of the BAFTA award-winning show unless he can make it the best yet.
He added: "We'll see what happens but we're not going to write a third series unless it's going to be better than the last two. We only want to keep doing it while it's at its best."
