Barbara Walters didn't wait to reveal her dirty laundry until after her death; she hit up Oprah to help her sell her memoir with the nitty gritty details of her affair with Senator Edward Brooke.
Babs had an affair with U.S. Sen. Brooke in the 1970s, all dished on Oprah Winfrey's chat show scheduled to air Tuesday.

Walters, 78, called Brooke "exciting" and "brilliant" – and tells Winfrey, "I was certainly infatuated ... It was exciting times in Washington."
Walters kept mum and discreet in the early years of her career. Talking to Winfrey, she tells when a friend warned her, "This is going to come out. This is going to ruin your career ... This is going to ruin him. You've got to break this off.'"
A two-term Senator from Massachusetts, Brooke was a moderate Republican who was elected to the Senate in 1966.
This was when Walters was climbing high in her career, as a cohost of the Today show on NBC. According to the AP, Walters's affair with Brooke ended before the senator lost his third term bid in 1978.
Brooke later divorced.
Babs was on the Oprah Winfrey Show to drum up her memoir "Audition."
