Uma Thurman's stalker Jack Jordan is still "a menace", according to the actress' mother.
Birgitte Thurman took the stand in the trial of mental patient Jordan in New York yesterday (29.04.08), and said the 37-year-old - who denies harassing the 'Kill Bill' star - needs proper medical attention.
She said: "Jordan is still a menacing presence in the minds of my children. He is someone who would benefit from medical attention.
"He called me at home in New York in 2005 and told me he and my daughter had a predestination to be together. I tried to assure him in no uncertain terms that this was just a fantasy and he was projecting."
Uma's brother Dechen also took the stand in the trial, and said Jordan had contacted him and threatened to kill himself in two days time unless he could talk to the actress.
Dechen said: "He was sobbing and desperate to communicate."
If Jordan - who has been diagnosed with mental illnesses schizophrenia and bipolar disorder - is found guilty of stalking and aggravated harassment, he could spend up to one year in jail.
Uma is expected to take the stand today (30.04.08) in Manhattan's Supreme Court.
