I'm really happy for this guy. He's had a hard time, and come full circle. You deserve it, Robert!
Interesting, how men seem to get a second wind as they enter middle age, at least men in the business. I'm not knocking guys, I'm just glad we're getting to a place where that's different for women - when women like Ellen Degeneres, Sigourney Weaver, and Madonna can hit their fifties, and IMPROVE in stature (and beauty), then the world IS becoming a better place.
Rock ON!
And last but not least - why shouldn't a white man play a comedic black man's role? We have come that far. I agree with Ben Stiller - WHITE CHICKS, the movie. And don't go bringing up Al Jolsen and black-face-mime. The past is the past. It is there to inform us, it is there to warn us, and it is there to make us proud. Let us, then, live in the moment, and treat our contemporaries in kind.
God, what kind of a feel good morning am I having...
Actually, guess that's Who I should be thanking. As the little birds fly a circlet of flowers around my head - tweak tweaK!
