Miley Cyrus' nude apology

'Hannah Montana' star Miley Cyrus has issued an apology after posing for a racy photo shoot.
The 15-year-old actress was photographed by acclaimed photographer Annie Leibovitz wearing just a blanket for Vanity Fair magazine.
Miley admits she now regrets the shots, which were intended to be "artistic".
She said: "I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologise to my fans who I care so deeply about."
The Disney Channel, who broadcast 'Hannah Montana', have also criticised the magazine, saying: "Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines."
A spokesperson for Vanity Fair has defended the publication, saying: "Miley's parents and minders were on the set all day. Since the photo was taken digitally, they saw it on the shoot and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley."
The article accompanying the pictures quoted Miley as saying the pictures are "really artsy. It wasn't done in a skanky way."
The controversial shoot is due to hit newsstands next week.

This 40 year old mom likes Hannah Montana, the songs are catchy and the show is funny. Miley Cyrus is a talented girl. And concerning this brewing controversy here are my thoughts. Vanity Fair is an artsy, I guess very popular magazine that I would never, ever buy. They quite frankly have shown an array of photos of the years I have found well, just weird and inappropriate. (nude photos of pregnant actresses, ewww) This latest stint with Miley Cyrus showed very poor judgement by ALL the adults involved. I can not believe her family, who are said to have been present, found this OK. The almighty dollar clouded their judgement to be sure. Poor Miley, they can't let the millions she is making and will continue to make portraying Hannah Montanna, selling all that merchandise and touring be enough. Her people are doing their best to ensure her career will ride for many, many years to come. This reeks of greed to me, pure and simple. Annie Leibovitz should be charged with child endangerment as a lot of pedophiles will love these pictures. The other 'sexy' photos of Miley she herself put our there, she's a teenager, and teenagers do silly things. In this day and age it is hard to be a teenager living in the US, a country whose moral temperature is getting close to that of hell freezing over. Sex and money, sex and money, GOD HELP THE USA...
