Tom Cruise has reportedly asked Victoria Beckham to design the clothes for his latest movie 'Hardy Men'.

The 'Top Gun' star has been so impressed with the Spice Girl's own fashion range, which includes jeans and sunglasses, he wants to showcase her talents in forthcoming film 'Hardy Men'.

A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Tom approached Victoria during her birthday celebrations last Sunday (20.04.08).

"After dinner and cocktails at Eva Longoria's Beso restaurant, he made a small speech thanking her for being such a great friend.

"Afterwards he pulled her aside and asked if she'd like to be involved with costume consultation on 'Hardy Men'. The idea is for her to have a series of meetings with the costume department. If she agrees, Victoria will be given a name check in the end credits."

The movie, in which Tom stars with Ben Stiller, is an updated version of the popular children's detective novels 'The Hardy Boys'.

Victoria - who is married to soccer star David Beckham - recently insisted she no longer considers herself a singer and wants to concentrate on designing clothes.

She said: "I've been thinking about this for a long time. I'm not in the music industry anymore. I'm in the fashion industry.

"I'm putting together a team of people now so it's my main project."
