Tom Cruise's adopted children rarely make the news, in fact he has been soundly criticized for their whereabouts.
Now Tom's powerful coterie of actor pals and his relationships appears to have worked out well for his inexperiended actor/son, 13-year old Connor Cruise.
Connor won the key role playing Will Smith as a kid in his upcoming film, "Seven Pounds."
Tom's claims that acting novice Connor scored the part "all on his own" in a People magazine story.
Connor will play a young version of Will Smith’s role in the upcoming drama.
“Tom is so proud of Connor,” a source told People. “He’s proud of him for really doing this on his own.”
Along with Connor and Will, “Seven Pounds,” which is filming currently, also stars Woody Harrelson and Rosario Dawson.
Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes are frequently seen socializing with the Smiths.
