Of course she's going to come to his aid. Madonna and Tom Cruise deserve each other, shamelessly using every opportunity to push their controversial religious agendas. She's tag-teaming up with him. So be it. But the bit her being a good person, going good deeds and comparing the needs of overseas orphans with the children that languish in our foster care systems today is a pathetic excuse for a fading celebrity who wants the easy way out. It made my stomach churl to read what she said. It takes courage and compassion to adopt a child here in the USA.

It takes an opportunist to align herself with Tom Cruise, to throw out centuries of Jewish history and tradition to call herself a Jew when she isn't one, as if she's a persecuted waif herself. Yuk

I love you guys at M & C. You always top the articles on Scientology off with a bit of fact that is stranger than science fiction! Bwahahaha!

He’s one of the most famous stars in the world you fake accented, no talent, cult embracing hack! As an American…I am so sorry England, but she’s your problem now!

Madonna is making the key mistake of thinking that people are persecuting Tom's religious beliefs, which is not the case. Tom can believe in any manner of things, freely and happily.

However, when the religion's Scientology and a shady money-making organization known as 'The Church of Scientology' controls and vends religious text while exhibiting paranoid controlling behaviour over its followers? That's a problem, and in that case it is perfectly right and just to protest that organisation's tax-free status while increasing public awareness of exactly what the Co$ is up to.

Stop trying to make me out to be something I am not. I respect people's religious belief's. I have every right to criticize Scientology as a religion because it is not a religion. I should know. I was a scientologist and devoted my life to that cult for over 18 years, from 1978 -1996. If anyone has a right to stand up to it and criticize it, it's certainly me at minimum.
As far as Kabbalah goes, I am a Christian who consider the Jews to be God's chosen people per the same old testament both Jews and Christians study. I am a life long friend to people of many religions; These include Muslims, Hindus, Jews, Orthodox, Catholic and protestant Christian denonination and nondenominational faiths. I am speaking as an educated person. Ask any knowledgeble Jew and they will tell you that Madonn'a version of Kabbala is based upon mysticism and is more of a cult because it's a distortion of the history and sacred tenants of Judaism, of which Kabbalah is mentioned and explained in the Torah.

Here is something written by a jewish educator about Kabbalah:

'There is entirely too much literature out there under the name 'Kabbalah' that has little or nothing to do with the true Jewish teachings on this subject. Any book on the subject of practical Kabbalah should be disregarded immediately; no legitimate source would ever make such teachings available to a faceless mass audience. Books written by Christians should be viewed with extreme skepticism, because many Christian sources have reinterpreted Kabbalah to fit into Christian dogma. '

Scientology is losing their battle with their former members and every day more and more are leaving. Tom Cruise is the poster boy for David Miscavige and Scientology. It's wearing very thin with the public, more so this week because of the explosive revelations about what Scientology does with it's celebrities in the just released Jason Beghe full interview video by Mark Bunker and XenuTv.com that's all over the news.
You need to check it out, my friend.

Getting Will Smith and now Madonna to come out to Tom Cruise's defense is just bad PR and a last ditch attempt to distract people from reading the facts on the internet. That might also be the intention behind your comment to me but I will give you the benefit of the doubt.

I have nothing against any scientologist, some who are the nicest people who wind up doing the most insane things for their 'church'. I was just as brainwashed as they are. My aim is to get them out and prevent others from being sucked in.

Nobody is nearly as harsh on my religion.

Of course, mine isn't a pay-for-play pyramid scheme cult that forcible disconnects families, harrasses and stalks former members and critics, believes they are a higher-evolved race (homo-novis as Scientologists call themselves), preaches that the mental health industry was behind the hallocaust, and has a stated goal of 'clearing the planet'.

Madonna should recognize the terrible human rights abuses that happen in Scientology.

How about a shout out against the RPF, a Scientology slave camp in which even young children are made to work 80 hour weeks?

Comparing Tom Cruise to Maliwi orphans is despicable considering the children in Scientology who lose their parents or get to see them once a year.

I hope Madonna gets educated.

Your poor spelling and grammer. Please troll somewhere else and quit trying to shift focus from the worldwide protest against the evils of a criminal organization posing as a religion to an actual bonafide thousands of years old religion.

There really is no comparison.

Catholisism, Christiantity (basically the same thing) are free to join, free to leave, and offer full disclosure from day one. Scientology on the other hand...
