Eddie Izzard wants to quit Hollywood and become a politician.
The cross-dressing British comic actor is considering getting involved in European politics to help to save the world from disaster.
He said: "We have got to make it work in Europe. People are very worried about sovereignty and the loss of sovereignty. I think the stakes are if we don't make the European Union work, then the world is screwed. End of story."
The 46-year-old 'Riches' star, who is set to embark on his 'Stripped' stand-up tour in the US later this week, also revealed he is planning to tone down his act.
He added to Newsweek magazine: "The heels got too high on the last two tours. Now I have gone back to a more manly mode.
"I might be wearing a bit of eyeliner but less than Keith Richards wears. I don't call myself a drag act anyway because I don't wear dresses."
