Pete Wentz leaves wedding dress to Ashlee

Pete Wentz won't be helping fiancee Ashlee Simpson design her wedding dress.
The Fall Out Boy rocker - who launched his Clandestine fashion line four years ago - has no interest in dressing his future wife for their forthcoming nuptials.
He said: "I would not even try to step in and design Ashlee's wedding dress. I don't think she would want that - thank God. I wouldn't marry anyone who wanted a wedding dress designed by me."
Pete and Ashlee - who have been dating since 2006 - confirmed their engagement on Wednesday (09.04.08) after Pete popped the question.
Ashlee said: "We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I, and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best.
"Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes."
It has been claimed the couple are planning to wed later this year.
Ashlee is no stranger to the world of fashion.
She recently teamed up with US store Wet Seal to design her own T-shirt range.
Ashlee follows in the footsteps of her older sister Jessica who released her own fashion line in 2005.

Isn't it an old wives tale that the groom isn't supposed to see the dress before the wedding anyway? They think it will curse the wedding. Kind of old fashioned I know, but my fiance saw my dress as I was making it myself, and we never made it to the altar. Oh, wait a minute. I was making my own dress because I didn't have the money to buy one, he was taking my paychecks. I wonder if that's why I left? Ya think?

I'm happy for them. I'm not a big fan of Ashlee myself, but that doesn't mean she's a bad person. Congratulations guys.
