Comic actor Jerry Seinfeld's brakes failed and caused him to flip his Fiat in the Hamptons.
Seinfeld walked away unhurt.
The star was driving alone at 7:40 p.m. when the brakes on his Fiat malfunctioned, East Hampton Town Police Chief Todd Sarris told the New York Post.
Seinfeld tried the emergency brake which also failed – and the star swerved to keep the vehicle from careening into an intersection.
The two-door, 1967 Fiat BTM flipped over before coming to a halt just yards from the highway, Sarris said.."
"He was a little shocked when he walked in and it started to dawn on him what happened," his wife, Jessica, told the Post. "It could have been a lot worse, obviously, and thank God it wasn't. He's fine."
Seinfeld made light of the potentially fatal accident:
"Because I know there are kids out there, I want to make sure they all know that driving without braking is not something I recommend, unless you have professional clown training or a comedy background, as I do," he told the newspaper. "It is not something I plan to make a habit."

Come on, you did not really think Seinfeld had a 124 Fiat, did you? Seriously, to be that year, you should have easily guessed it was a Fiat Dino. In fact, the car is a yellow-green Dino coupe. Duh!~

What is a Fiat BTM? Fiat has never made a model with that designation. Did anyone try and find out what type of car he really flipped? I am glad he is ok but some fact checking would have been helpful.
